These blocks are awesome. It's our third or fourth set of colorful, sturdy HABA blocks. My daughter and I love, love them. You can't just have one. They are addictive and we continue to expand her block sets.

My 2 year old son really likes the toy, even though he never liked any other building blocks. The blocks are very colorful and different shapes and sizes. The quality is amazing. I am sure this toy will last for years.

We received these as a gift, and at first I was concerned that my son would not be able to build easily since they are not traditional cubes. However, the little extra fine motor skill required to stack them up is a good challenge for him. One can make many different structures with this set.

This is the first block set that I purchased for my 2-yr old daughter. As it turned out, my 10-month old loves it too. The 10-mo old enjoys the block that has a bell in it and also destroying the blocks. These blocks are well made, colorful, and gives me a piece of mind - from choking hazards to safety issues of the paint. 40 blocks isn't a whole lot to stack so we will be purchasing other basic block sets from HABA to augment this set.

I got these blocks for my 15 month old, and she loves them. Some of them are a little small for her still, but most of them are fine. They're great for stacking, but also for matching up the pictures. They're very nicely packaged as well, so they would make a lovely gift (especially as a 1st birthday gift).
