 one durable egg!

We love this petite little egg and how the shell is metal. The sewing job on the egg white was a little rough around the edges, but maybe it was a fluke with our egg. Despite this, it is a very charming addition to a play kitchen.

Good idea - A little tricky to play with.
While I love the idea of a realistic egg sliding out of its shell, none of my kids have the coordination necessary to put the egg back together. It is tricky to open as well. We use the egg and the shell as two seperate toys, and everyone has a blast!

 Ingenious!
We got this as well as several other Haba food items for our kids for Christmas and this was one of their favorites. My three year old loves "cracking" the egg and frying it in her pan. It's actually the perfect size for little toy plates. I wish it came in a multi-pack for more fun. I plan to order a couple more because my older kids like playing with this, too. I have even been caught playing with it a couple of times.

 Original!
This is such a great idea for a toy! It is pretty realistic looking, and makes a nice addition to my toddler's kitchen play. The only negative thing about it is that it is practically impossible to get the yolk back into the egg once it has been taken out. This makes it harder for young children to play with it the way it is intended. 4 stars for originality though!

 Tough egg to crack
Very realistic idea and captivating to my almost three-year-old; just impossible for her to "crack" by herself. I try to leave it a bit ajar once I precisely fold up the egg and place it in the shell.
Now she is almost four and it is still too hard to grasp and open if completely shut, even for me.
