This is a great 3 layer puzzle. Each layer is clearly another step in building a home, my daughter loves to learn about what is happening in each picture as she puts together the puzzle.

I love that it has three layers with each layer being another step in building a house. The 3 layers add a level of complexity that will hopefully keep this puzzle interesting over a span of years. The puzzle is small and can be done anywhere. Well made. Should last for years.

This is one of the neatest puzzles I've seen! I love that it is 3 layers. It has been great watching my son figure out which pieces belong to which layer. He loved this when he got it at 2 years, and 6 months later, still wants to play with it regularly. I love that it is small but still challenging, and we often take it on trips. His friends have all been drawn to this puzzle as well. We definitely plan on purchasing more!

I bought this for my son just after he turned two. We worked on it together talking about the process of building a house, "First the dozer comes in to fill the lot and prepare the land..." We live in a new subdivision and there are many houses still being built around us so this was a topic of particular interest to him. I don't know exactly when he learned to do the puzzle completely on his own, now he is nearly four and he will do it over and over again whenever I get it out for him. It is beautifully made and has held up very well with no chipped paint or broken pieces. In fact I am online right now buying another Chelona puzzle for my 2nd son.

My 2 1/2 year old twins love putting this puzzle together as I make up a story about how the house is being built. Each layer represents another step in the process of building a house. My only complaint is that the puzzle is a little small for more than one child to work on at a time. It is the perfect step after "peg puzzles" when your child isn't quite ready for a jigsaw type of puzzle.
