My one year old loves watching me thread the mouse through the holes. She can't do this herself yet, but tries to. I'm impresses with the construction of this book, and am happy that we have at least one book that won't be chewed up before she turns two. The illustrations are vivid and adorable, and clear enough for young babies to decipher. What I really enjoy is that my daughter gets a different 'story' from each family mamber that reads this book to her. The fact that there are no words seems to bring out the creative storyteller in all of us. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a baby gift. The clacking sounds of the wooden pages are pleasant, too.

I bought this book to entertain my 13-month-old on an airplane flight. He enjoys playing peek-a-boo with the mouse, and even tries to string it through himself. The book has been dropped a lot, including on the mouse's ears, and no damage is visible. I'm impressed and would totally buy it again.

I gave this to my daughter at 12 months old and it was an immediate hit. Perfect size for her little hands. Gorgeous colors to the lovely, simple but entertaining pictures. Over the months (she's now 20 mo), I put it away and then bring it out again -- and have enjoyed watching her string the little mouse in and around the holes/pages with greater dexterity, and now name the pictures and enjoy the stories I make up. She may be starting to grow out of it now (? we'll see), but it's been a big hit so far for this year.

I bought this book for my 1 year old daughter Zoe. She loves it. She sits on my lap as I show her how the little mouse "eats her way" through each page of this book. When she plays with it by herself she chews on a little mouse. She eats all of her books and this one, unlike the hard cover books, can't be chewed off. Zoe's day care teachers loved this book and so did her classmates. It can be easily cleaned to remove all of the germs that little fingers leave on it. I am planning on buiyng one more book to give it to the childcare center as a Christmas gift.

This book is wonderful quality. The pictures are bright and the little mouse is so cute. My 3 year old loves this and I'm sure her little brother will as well. This is truly something I will keep, unlike so many of the plastic toys we get... it will be something to hand down to the grandkids.
