the picture on the website is great, but the actual placemat is even more beautiful! there are SO many things for my son to look at. it is a great distraction tool for when he wants to start whining at the table... we can turn the focus to finding different places and pictures on his big-boy placemat. very sturdy and wipes clean easily!

I love the “can you find it?” questions around the outside edge of the U.S.A. Map—from the usual “Find the Mississippi River” or “Find the Great Lakes” to the personal “Where was Mommy born?” and “Where do my cousins live?” and more! Visiting kids from 15 months to 5 years have loved poring over this map to answer these questions. Likewise each state has a tiny image to represent it, from the expected cow for Iowa to the more quirky movie camera for California. We love this map. We bought it to use as a placemat, but ended up hanging it where we can look at it from the kitchen table—it really is art.
