Beautiful and unique!

Mother hen is a beauty in her shades of red and orange. The wooden rings are nice and chunky and are of excellent quality, a great alternative to the standard plastic rings. For now, our daughter just uses them as chew toys and loves to chew on mother hen head’s best. Even though she is constantly pulling on the red felted “comb” on top of the hen’s head with her teeth, it remains completely intact.

I show her how to stack the rings naming the colors along the way and then she happily knocks them over. When she eventually learns to stack them on her own, I know it will be a great toy to help her with manipulation and dexterity. The rod at the center comes out and is rounded at the end, so there is less chance of injury. The downfall of the rod easily coming out is that I know it will make it a little more challenging for her stack in the beginning, The rod is also of uniform width so you can stack the rings in any order. My favorite and most unique part of this toy is the little egg laid by mother hen hidden at the bottom of the rings.

Overall, I highly recommend this wooden stacker as it is the best looking out there!
