110 pieces total. 21 different shapes. Made of untreated beech wood. This set is not intended for children under the age of 3. There are many small blocks that may pose a potential choking hazard.

Very cool, but very very small [285 OF 525 PEOPLE FOUND THIS HELPFUL]
These blocks are really really cool - I love stacking them and building stuff. But, the blocks are TINY - less than 1 inch square (more like .8). I bought them to use in conjunction with some other Haba blocks, and they won't work since the sizes are so different. It is a very cool set, though, and I think the ages 5-99 recommendation on the box is spot on. These are not blocks for kids under at least 4 or 5.
