Like some of the other reviewers I bought this book (and several others) simply because they were Haba. All the other Haba toys we have are fantastic but Haba should stick to toys and leave the books alone. No matter how animated I was when playing with this book my son never took an interest. I think the main problem is the soft pages. It seems like a good idea in theory but my son, who loves stiff board books, won't give Haba books a second look. For all the faults I've found with it the book still appears to be well made. I can't recommend it.

We have ordered many Haba toys for our now six month old son. We have been happy with all of them except for this book. It is absolutely impossible for my husband or I to manipulate the mole puppet through the holes. In addition, the pages are somewhat repetitive and don't capture my son's attention.

Although we generally love Haba, we were a little disappointed with this book. It's a bit difficult to manipulate the mole puppet. The colors are lovely, but the pictures are a bit repetitive. Not a bad addition to a library, but we prefer the Jellycat books.

Very good book [138 OF 277 PEOPLE FOUND THIS HELPFUL]
This soft book is a wonderful way to actively read with your baby. Since there are no words in the book, you can make up your own tale of Little Max the Mole's adventures. The finger puppet itself, when paired with your best mole voice, will delight your baby. Falyn enjoys this book (and the Catherine the Catepillar book as well) so much that I have started giving it as a shower gift. A nice addition to baby's growing library.
