Five orange carrots with fluffy green stems (made of braided cotton thread) are bunched together via a removable orange rubber band. We love the exceptional quality of the wood finish, deep orange color and fun, cotton "stems". Did you know...
Carrots were not always orange! They were originally red, black, yellow, white and especially purple. In Afghanistan in the 7th century, they were first cultivated and had purple exteriors with yellow flesh. It was the Dutch in the Middle Ages who developed the bright orange carrot that contains carotene. It is a great source of Vitamin A.
