Amelie The Doll will quickly gain a place in the heart of your toddler and preschool-aged child. Her cheerful, embroidered face, harvest gold hair and slightly weighted body make her fun to cuddle, hold and carry about. We love her removable (and reversible!) jacket, and coordinating, capri pants. Amelie's removable, blue canvas shoes are especially cute. And we have to appreciate that Haba chose to line them with matching, apple green cloth! Her messenger bag is the perfect finishing touch.

Amelie makes a wonderful first doll or gift for a child's first, second and third birthday. She comes in a sturdy, clear vinyl case with handle.

Remove clothing from doll and put it in a pillowcase. Machine wash the doll and clothing (in pillowcase) in cold water, delicate/gentle cycle. Leave to air dry.

Amelie was lovingly designed and quality assured in Germany. She was manufactured in China under the supervision of Haba, Germany.

It maybe an individual difference, but our Amelie looks a few years older than what she looks on Oompa's web site, and a catalog. I was expecting her face to be round, but the one we got has a thinner face. Our 2-year-old does not care this, but I am a little disappointed. However, as a doll, it is made very well. I like that we can do her hair in ponytail, that she is washable, and that her clothes are easy enough for little ones to put on and off. My daughter especially loves Amelie's little bag. The only thing that my daughter does not like about Amelie at this point is that it is not soft.

Amelie travels everywhere with us -- absolutely everywhere -- and with all her adventures, she's gets a bit dirty. She has been washed a bunch of times and still is beautiful. One note about her hair color...the picture on-line looks more blonde and in reality it's a cute shade of orange.

I am not sure my 18-month old daughter has taken to dolls yet, or will, but I love this doll and the outfits sold separately. Everything is bright and sturdy, and the outfits can be mixed or matched. I love dressing her and my daughter, at least, likes to hand me things and watch. I would have LOVED this and the other Haba dolls when I was a child. Be aware that there are TWO doll sizes and not all clothes fit all dolls.

I bought Amelie and Lotta for my 22 month twin girls. Both of my dughters love Amelie and Lotta and takes them everywhere. The dolls are very well made rag dolls, nice weight and very cuddly without being too squishy. There is velro in the clothes so the girls are having fun taking it off and trying to put it back on. I've tied double knots on the shoes so they stay on great. If I was to buy dolls again I wouldn't hesitate getting these, they are worth every penny. Any other doll just plain fades in comparison.
