Useful for years of play [30 OF 65 PEOPLE FOUND THIS HELPFUL]
I bought this cash register for my 2.5 year old son. I was worried he might grow out of it quickly because of the lack of "bells and whistles" and it's small size. But I find it is the opposite - because it is well made and simple, it is going to be a timeless toy. He has been playing with it for about 4 months now and all his little friends (from ages 1-4) seem to like it, too. The only "downside" (although I don't count this as a bad thing) is that your child needs to use his imagination with this toy... it doesn't add for them or talk or beep, which I appreciate! I taught my son to press the button that corresponds to the color of food he is "selling" us at his market or cooking for us in his kitchen. That seems to work well for his age. As he gets older, we'll teach him to use the beads to count out the money. Also, we just gave him some monopoly money for inside the register, works great.

This is a great little toy. The buttons are very satisfying to push, the colors are great, and the bead bar on the top is fun for little fingers. My older one loves playing with this as a cash register and even my one-year-old loves to press the buttons and such. It's too bad you have to buy the play money separately, otherwise it would be perfect.

This is a really cute cash register. My son thinks it's great. I think it's great because it doesn't require batteries and requires the use of a little imagination. My son is accepting payment in all sorts of forms and hides it in the box. Great, sturdy wooden toy which will be around for a long time.

This cash register is the perfect addition to our Haba play kitchen set. I love that it is wood, requires no batteries and is not made in China. It seems to be very durable and worth every penny!
