there seems to be no end to the magic that haba provides by way of games. we have had a blast with this and love how much play value it has. when socken zocken (love saying that!) first made it into our home, it was more for pattern and color identification. we then started playing by giving everyone their own pile of socks (same color) and seeing who could sort through their piles first. we now finally follow directions. our daughter is turning five this summer and its still one of our favorites games.

We just received this game and it is even cuter than the pictures show. The pieces are the perfect size for my 4 year old to handle and high quality. My one year old doesn't get the concept yet, but we can use it for color recognition and patterns instead of matching. The instructions are simple and easy for a preschooler to understand. This is the perfect family game and we look forward to years of use.

This is a wonderful game - sturdy, attractive, fun. We've played this game with a range of kids aged 3 to 9 and found it was easily modifiable so that everyone could enjoy it. The littlest kids found it hard to make perfect matches, so we had them just match the top bands of the socks or just the heels, while the older kids had to find socks that were exactly the same. This leveled the playing field and made it a great family game for everyone.
