Since Christmas we've played this game countless times. Both my 5 year old and 1 1/2 year old enjoy stacking up animals - whether we're playing by the rules or not! This is one of the finest Haba games!

We gave this to our nephew on his 4th birthday. We wanted to give him something that would attract 4-year-old, yet last long. At the age of 4, he wasn't interested in playing game, but he enjoyed all the animals as figures to play "zoo." Now, he is a big brother, and I am sure that he will enjoy the game with his sister in the near future. I always like games that all family members can "really" participate and enjoy. This "Stacking Animal Game" is one of such games!

	Cute and Fun but maybe difficult 11/25/2007

I bought this toy for my niece who is almost four. My mother-in-law and I played the game with her and it was somewhat difficult. The game must be on a very stable surface like a kitchen table (we were playing on the floor with the game on top of the box and that didn't work well). My niece didn't do very well which can be a little frustrating for a child. We had to help her place her pieces as they are pretty small and help her understand what she was suppose to be stacking. There are several different meanings to the dice when it is rolled. Maybe too many for a 4 year old but the game is really cute and could grow with the child.

I agree with the previous reviewers that some of the pieces are small, but I also think they need to be small in order to stack. My almost four year old has played this game for almost a year and I have never found the pieces to be too small. The appeal in this game is stacking the animals. My daughter loves it although I will say if you have a perfectionist child, it can be a bit frustrating for them at times if their stack falls before they are finished. Overall, I recommend this game for hours of fun.

My two year old usually does ok with games aimed at 3 year olds, but when we opened this game it was too difficult for my child to balance. The instructions inside the box also said it was 4+. The pieces were a bit smaller than I had imagined that they would have been. But, my child does like to play with the animals separate from stacking them high. Overall, I think this is a great game that my child will grow into.
