You might think that these cute little animals are just for newborns, but I gave this sweet Elephant to my 3 year old for Valentine's day and he is in love! It is soft and snuggly, a great shade of blue with a little gray mixed in and is definitely not babyish! "Ellie" has become his favorite friend and accompanies him to bed every night and once had a big adventure and visited preschool in my son's backpack! After years of trying to find a "lovie" for him to feel comfortable with, we finally found it in this elephant! I just ordered a backup, just in case something happens to our original!

we bought this as a 'welcome' gift for our newborn and are very happy with it. it is soft and just as cute as the picture shows. an added (unmentioned) detail is that there is a small amount of bean-bag-like filling at the bottom of each of the four feet and at the bottom of the belly-- a feature that is fun for exploring hands that are sensitive to texture. i love the color especially-- not a soft gray like most elephants, but a deep blue-gray (the picture is very accurate) that will be eye-appealing through the toddler years and not just the pastel-infant stages.
