This rattle is beautiful! It's quite a bit larger than I expected it to be, too big for my daughters hands right now. I love the rattle sound though, so unusual!

My 12 month old just received this as a gift. It's much cuter in real life. The body is flannel and the bill is a striped knit. It's about a half inch thick: thick enough to not get overlooked but thin enough to easily grab. The rattle inside has an unusual sound so my daughter -- jaded by other rattles -- likes to shake it. Buy it for a newborn and it should get lots of use.
