Too old for my daugther. Care needed. [8 OF 16 PEOPLE FOUND THIS HELPFUL]
I really thought we'd love this toy. But when it arrived I realized that she was much too young. It says 1+, but actually I think 2 or 3+ would be more suitable. There needs to be A LOT of coordination here, and the balls just roll everywhere, getting lost etc. I'm sure she'll get the hang of it. Needs a lot of supervision though. I can visualize hard wooden balls being thrown through the tv!

Perfect for eye-hand coordination! [15 OF 26 PEOPLE FOUND THIS HELPFUL]
Our toddler daughter has been using this since she turned one--first, to roll the balls to us, and then to hammer the balls. This has really developed her eye-hand coordination, and it still keeps her attention long enough for her to play independently!

This toys is so well made. My son has pounded away like crazy on this thing and it has held well. The balls are all wood, so they are nice and sturdy. He actually pounds the balls with his hands but uses the hammer also to hit them through holes. It holds his attention for a long time and he really enjoys it.

Our 14 month old absolutely loves this toy. It is very well made. We have so much fun with it! The balls are also very colorful. We also like that Plan Toys is a Green toy company. We will buy from them again.

Brilliant, tactile, solid [14 OF 42 PEOPLE FOUND THIS HELPFUL]
My 1 year olds love to hold the balls, bang them together, and push the balls through the holes. I think they are too young yet for the mallet, so we just play together pushing the balls through with our hands. The babies also hold one ball and bang it against another to get it to go through. This toy is high quality and fun. Great for learning cause and effect.
