This is a perfect size drum for my 9 month old. You can make different noises depending on where you hit the drum with the wooden drumstick. This drum is made to with stand a lot of music making!

My 13 month old son got this drum from his grandparents a couple of weeks ago and hasn't stoped playing with it since. The drum has a nice sound quality, and he seems to love that it makes different sounds depending on where on the top you hit it. I think we've got a professional drummer in our future!

This drum from Plan Toys is absolutely wonderful. I bought if for my nephew and he loves it...I'm getting one for my little boy this year for Christmas. The drum is solid on top and has the best tone. There are small rubber pegs on the bottom to keep it from scratching furniture. The drum stick is very sturdy and well built. Exactly what you would expect from a quality wood toy manufacturer. If you are looking for a drum, don't pass this one up. The value is right for a safe, non-toxic wood toy.
