Stable

This stable is fantastic! It pairs perfectly with the Plan barn or even a dollhouse. The horses are nicely made and high quality; just the right size, one bigger than the other, and adorably classic in appearance. Their legs are moveable, which makes them fun to play with, but does make it a little difficult to easily stand them in the stalls. Older children will have better luck with arranging them in the stable the way they are intended to stand, but my two year old daughter enjoys playing with them in her own way, which makes me happy too! The only negative thing about this set is the chicken hutch. It isn't very functional and is fairly useless because it is so shallow. I don't fully understand the point of the door which swings open, but probably shouldn't. The tiny ladder leans against it, but doesn't stay up and you have to move it to open the door. It falls down easily and doesn't do a very good job holding the chicken. I think it if was a deeper hole with a higher, better ledge to put the chicken on, it would be more effective. I also agree with the other reviewer who wishes two chickens were included. The chicken is simply adorable, and it would be nice to have two included in the set. The little red bucket is so cute, and my daughter likes to put it around the horses' necks to make it look like they are dipping their noses in to eat. I would highly recommend buying the set for the stable, but the chicken hutch is mostly good for the cuteness factor only. I'm still giving it 4 stars, because the stable is great.

We don't have the Plan Toys barn, but bought this set to go along with our Plan Toys dollhouse and it works well. The horses are great and the Plan Toys people can actually ride on them. The horses can move their necks up and down, as well as move their legs a bit. My girls enjoy cleaning the stall with the included brush and feeding the horses carrots from their Plan Toys garden. I think our dollhouse people really enjoy having horses to ride and care for! ;)

My daughter received this with the Plan Toys Animal Set (she is two) and just loves it. She sets it up all over the house and loves to open and shut the doors on the stable. The animals are well made, and the little brush and bucket are cute.

My daughters LOVE this stable. It is very open and easy to play in. Both horses have a posable head and the mother horse has posable legs as well. The set is adorable! I only wish it came with two chickens because both daughters want the chicken.
