well-made but not our favorite selecta toy... [67 OF 138 PEOPLE FOUND THIS HELPFUL]
We got this little toy for our 1+ year old. The reason we got this vehicle was due to the fact that our son loves the very similar Autopino Wooden Car from Selecta (which we got from this website). The Autopino was so popular with our son that we thought he would enjoy this one too, even though this one is a bit more expensive. Overall, it is a fine toy, but not nearly as nice as the Autopino (they are basically the same car). First of all, the little driver does NOT come out of the car; he is glued in there. BIg disappointment! Part of the joy of the Autopino car is that the mouse figure is easily removable and replaceable; my son loves to put it in and out of the driver's seat. Also, both cars have a squeaker between the two back wheels that squeaks when you push down on the back of the car. For some reason, this car is more difficult to make squeak - it doesnt push down as easily and doesnt make quite the fun noise of the other car. That may just be a fluke with the particular car we bought, but it was one more reason to like this car a little less. Overall, the quality is as you'd expect, but for the price it isnt completely worth it for us, which is the reason I have rated it at only 3 stars. If you are looking for a car in this style, DEFINITELY go for the Autopino car (plus the Autopino has a little wheel with a bell in the front as well). It is a bit less expensive and much more fun, at least for my son!
