No doubt, this is a lovely toy. Very cute, and the flapping wings are absolutely a winner. I bought it for my daughter when she was 12 months old, and was so worried that she would injure herself on it, that I only let her play with it when I can watch her closely. Of course, baby doesn't want to roll papagallo along the floor, and our fledgling walker is waving it in the air (it's pretty heavy when it hits you!), falling over on it, and (as a previous reviewer mentioned), putting the handle in her mouth. I would only recommend it for an established walker, or under very close supervision.

Papagallo...the toy my son took to for Christmas 2006! Until my son began using Papagallo at 15 months like a cane for walking support, he carried Papagallo around and pushed him back and forth across the floor while sitting down. By 17 months my son walked more proficiently and learnt to push the perfect height Papagallo in front of him after some practice. Now the faster my son (19 mos) pushes Papagallo, the faster Papagallo's wings flap, and the quicker the bird's bell tinkles. Today my son races Pagagallo about the house with a broad grin, and is one of his favourite toys.

I bought this toy for my son's first birthday, but he really started playing with it when he was 18 months. And it just went on!.. Now he is two years old. He takes this toy everywhere, but in bed with him. It is his absolute favorite toy among all the others. He runs around the house with it and likes being chased by it. We already went through two of them. I just placed order for the third one since my son can’t stand not having his "birdie" around.

I gave this to my daughter for her first birthday. The craftsmanship is wonderful. The only problem I had with it was that she would put the red ball handle in her mouth and walk with it, so I took it away until she was a few months older. When I returned it to her she loved it, and couldn't go outside unless she had her bird with her. She'll be two soon and still uses it.

This is a beautifully made, gorgeous little toy. My daughter took to it right away. It makes a pleasent flapping sound that is not irritating and the size of it is perfect for toddlers. It takes a bit of practice to prevent tip-overs (a good thing for beginning walkers, I think).
