Customer Questions
Hi! My name is Milanie Cleere, I’m the CEO of Oompa Toys. Today is Friday, August 8th, 2008. We are in the Arboretum in Madison, WI. The Arboretum is an extension of the University of Wisconsin, Madison and it’s used by students and researchers to focus on ecological restoration projects. Every year thousands of people visit the Arboretum to enjoy it’s wide variety of animal and plant life as well as the many trails that wind through the park.
Mark from Madison would like to know when we are opening our retail store. Mark, I hope it’s soon! We have been blogging about this for quite a few months now and initially, we were hoping to open this summer. But because of the many delays in construction, we are hoping and keeping our fingers crossed that the store will open in the fall. So, hopefully in September but keep checking on our blog, subscribe to our email newsletter and we will announce as soon as we know the exact opening dates, we will let everyone know.
Allison, from Washington State would like to know if a child can ride a Haba Walker Wagon. Allison, NO! Even if these are sturdy enough to hold up to 200 lbs, Haba recommends that children use their walker wagons only to move around stuffed animals and toys so it’s not recommended that you put a child in any of the walker wagons.
Oompa Highlights Blabla
Blabla kids was founded in 2001 by Florence Witterwald and Susan Pritchett. The two long-time friends had been travelling through Peru and they accidentally stumbled across a village of excellent knitters. These expert knitters had been keeping their craft alive for generations. The two went back to the United States and decided that they wanted to start a company that created children’s toys entirely out of natural materials. And that ‘s exactly what Blabla kids is today. They create hand-knitted children’s products. Their line includes backpacks, finger puppets, boogaloos, blankets, mobiles, hats and booties, clothing, rattles and dolls.
