These whimsical flash cards are great for baby and toddler alike. From the very first day of life, studies show that a baby can see high contrast patterns from 9 to 12 inches away. While baby is young, this Garden Collection is perfect for placing along side the crib to engage and entertain your little one. As your little one grows into a toddler, these cards will help teach her new and interesting animals. The Garden Collection contains 6 cards: a dragonfly, a ladybug, a squirrel, a worm, a bird, and a butterfly.
Printed on sturdy board book material and made to stand up to baby's explorations.

Made in China.

These cards have the image in black on white on one side and white on black on the other. My daughter has different reactions to both sides. She is entranced by them at first and then she starts to jabber at them. Great product!

RIVETED

My 6-week-old son is riveted by these images. Our colorful mobile gets little attention at this stage, but these cards consume him: he stares at the cards (propped up against the crib's side) for 5-7 minutes without glancing away. (That's awfully long in any baby's book....) I'm completely sold on the notion that black-white imagery is what's best for newborns.

We bought this for our daughter when she was a couple months old, and she still loves them at 8 months! Now she will pick them up and study them intently. The pictures are just lovely. I will get more for our next child.

Unusual and engaging

While I would have liked to have these when our daughter was younger, she received them for Christmas when she was 10 months old, and she already realized that they were animals. She reaaly enjoys them, squealing and waving at them, and kissing them. They are quite sturdy, but since I don't want them destroyed by little teeth, we use them like a book. The pictures are so stunningly detailed and universally appealing that I'm thinking of eventually framing them for the nursery.
