We purchased this kitchen for our almost 2 year old boy. I liked that it was neutral in color, small in size and could fit into my living room without being an eye sore. My son loves it and has played with it every single day since it arrived. Putting it together was ok. I was a little bit concerned while putting it together because I thought that the wood was pretty thin and I was worried about the assembly being flimsy and not resistant enough for Mr destruction. Once it was together, it turned out to be pretty sturdy and I don't think that resistance will be a problem in the future. I feel like it is just the right size for my 2 year old. Because it is rated 3+, I took away the smallest parts (mushrooms, carrot and cheese slice) and keep them for times with close supervision, although I think that they would probably be fine. This kitchen is really well thought out, and every time I see my son play with it I realize how good the design is. For instance, the sink is flat and is just so shaped that you can put the pots in it and pretend to add water, the mushroom fit just so in the wooden spoon, or the little "hooks" are just the right size so that you can hang the spoons but not long enough that your child can get hurt. We all like the fact that it seems to come with just the right number of items to make it fun and keep him busy for a while. The most favorite activity is to cut the bread with a knife. Second comes filling the pot with water and putting it in the oven. Like a poster mentioned, the magnets can be a little strong on the cupboard side and it does take both of his hands to get it opened. Overall, a great item that I highly recommend if your child likes play kitchens.

I got this for my daughter before she turned two, and now at 28 months she still loves her kitchen. The kitchen is small, even smaller than I thought it would be. But it is really darling, and I personally like that it's big enough to be "real" for my child, but is unobtrusive in our main living space. The food and dishes are also great. All the accessories make it a great starter for kitchen play, and it's so affordable!

This wonderful kitchen arrived just a few days after we ordered it. Our 2.5 yo son was so excited to play with it, he could hardly wait for me to assemble it. It is well designed and made entirely of nice (unfinished) birch plywood. Assembly was literally a snap, as many pieces fit into each other, requiring very little hardware or tools (included). The included cooking utensils and food are great, especially the carrot and toast that you can "cut". Half the fun seems to be opening and closing the oven and refrigerator door - one note, the magnets are a bit strong and sometimes need adult help - perhaps that will change over time. As noted elsewhere, the sink is a bit shallow, possibly to discourage putting real water into an all wood kitchen... It's the perfect size for a toddler eager to get busy in the kitchen.

My daughter received this as a present and absolutely loves it. Great quality and easy to assemble. As other reviewers stated it is small but it is the perfect size for my 2 year old daughter. The only downfall is that I wish it had a back to it. Although I think my daughter actually loves that it doesn't!
