We bought this toy for my 6 yr old son, and he still plays with it 2 years later. Great to learn colors and numbers.

Just another toy I am in love with from Haba [25 OF 55 PEOPLE FOUND THIS HELPFUL]
This is my favorite toy company, hands down. Haba produces the most high quality toys I have ever seen. I just added this Abacus to my Haba collection for my 15 mo old twins. It is just gorgeous. A true, solid, well made, quality learning tool. If you get a chance, see Milanie's (Oompa's CEO) online videos of her tours to the Haba factory in Germany. Just another reason to love Haba.

My boy didn't know how to play it at first. Once I show him how to take the beads out of the pecks, he got all excited and wants to do it himself all the time. When all toys fail to capture his attention, I can always pull out the bead abacus. He loves this toy so much. It was a great buy!

We purchased this for my 17 month old twins and they really enjoy it. It is such a simple toy, but my son, in particular, loves "threading" the balls onto the base. I see a lot of use out of this as the twins get older. Right now, they just like being able to put the balls on, but soon enough, it will work for teaching counting, patterns, etc. The quality is outstanding, of course--bright colors, solid construction.

My 7 month old loves these balls. They are extra fun because they have a hole in them so he can put them on his finger and easily hold them. He doesn't quite get the abacus part but someday he will and for now he loves banging them together and rolling them. The hole makes them so easy to pick up.
