I bought this for a friend's baby, who I have watched play with it for quite awhile. She loves to bang the rings (like tambourines) and is enchanted by the different noises and textures. The only reason I marked 4 instead of 5 stars is because the "meow" in the cat's head is very difficult to trigger. It takes an adult a few moments to fumble and try to get it to work. Otherwise, a delightful learning toy.

We love this stacking toy! All of the different textures are fabulous and it has plenty of little surprise noises. Our daughter loves taking the rings off the holder. The soft plush makes it easy for her to carry around.

I bought this as a gift for my daughters first birthday and she absolutely loved it from the beginning! She uses the rings as bracelets and hats and the post as an umbrella! The different textures and sounds are an absolute delight! Once she realized she could stack them she would over and over in different orders each time. I must say that I appreciate the fact that the holes are larger so that stacking them on the pole is easy enough for a one year old and they are not too tight. This is a great learning toy because she has learned how to stack and down the road she will learn larger to smaller and vice versa! I must mention, when the kitty first meowed it shocked her quite a bit but then she would laugh every time after that! Excellent quality and a beautiful addition to your little ones toys!

I love this toy, as does the whole family - including our cats. Our babe loves this toy more and more over time. At 1.5 years-old, he can now successfully stack the pieces on his own. But even before he could, he had great fun with the colorful and charming rings - sometimes they were a hat, sometimes a tambourine. yay. I take one star off for it coming in vinyl packaging - we don't need vinyl - it's bad for the environment, and bad for kids. How about more earth-friendly packaging all around?
