Farm Animal Blocks

Every time I take these blocks out, my daughter gets really excited. Not only are these blocks awesome because you are assembling animals but they are also quite vibrantly colored. Initially my daughter was quite interested in copying the animals on the box, but now she just creates elaborate fictional animals. It is quite interesting to see her use the blocks meant for feet and tails used in other creative ways. There are no additional pictures of the animals that come along with the blocks, so if your child wanted to create the animals pictured on the box, you’d have to keep the box for reference. When you first take the blocks out of the box, the animals are separated into each of their own plastic zip locks making it easier for your child to assemble the animals initially. The only minor criticism I have is that their finish is really smooth, so smooth that it makes them a little slippery when stacking.

If you are looking for a high quality set of blocks, I highly recommend these as your child’s initial set or to spruce another set of blocks your child already may have. They are certainly a clever design and can be passed on to the next generation due to their high durability. My daughter has thrown them all over the place and I have yet to see a single scratch yet!

I set these blocks out for my son to play with when he was one, but he recently just starting taking an interest in them (at 20 mo). He likes the animal faces and trying to make his own little animal. Some of the slanted pieces don't stack well however.

We love these blocks! The best part is they have no right or wrong way. They are fun and easy to stack, while providing lots of different shapes. I wish the printed blocks (like the faces, hands and feet) were on both sides.

I purchased for my nine month old thinking she would like to chew and bang on these now and when she is older construct the animals. She hasn't really taken much to them now, but the blocks are super cute and I think they will be hit in the future. For the time being, she has more interest in the plastic bags that each of the animals comes in.

I got these for a 1.5 year old and he just loved mix and matching the different animals. These blocks are very cute and very well made and seem like they will last through years (or at least multiple children!)
