Nice Tabletop building blocks

I have gotten quite a few of these Haba Architectural sets...of course for my children but also (I must admit) a bit for my own selfish purposes. I'm an adult who loves toys and blocks. These Haba blocks are just beautiful. They are smaller sized, but very nice. They are perfect blocks for tabletop building. I like the castle set because it has lots of simple blocks that can be used in very open ended ways. Others in this set are more like puzzles (the Pyramid or Colosseum for instance), but some sets like this or the Baroque blocks lend themselves to more creative block building. I like both types of these sets, but Haba's castle blocks are a great place to start with your world architectural tour, if you are so inclined.

Very cool, but very very small

These blocks are really really cool - I love stacking them and building stuff. But, the blocks are TINY - less than 1 inch square (more like .8). I bought them to use in conjunction with some other Haba blocks, and they won't work since the sizes are so different. It is a very cool set, though, and I think the ages 5-99 recommendation on the box is spot on. These are not blocks for kids under at least 4 or 5.
