A friendly crocodile great for hand play!
A viewer from Harrisburg, PA
As soon as I gave this toy to my 10 month old son, he grabbed it and placed one of the bright blue wheels into his mouth. This made me glad that this is another quality wooden toy from HABA that only uses non-toxic lacquers and stains. There are also no sharp edges, all of the corners are rounded out. I like that this toy is the perfect size and weight for little hands, my son can easily hold onto it with just one hand and transfer it back and forth. He’s still just learning how to push around his wheeled toys, so besides mouth discovery, this piece has spent a lot of time being a banging toy. He likes to hold it in one hand while banging it together with another wooden toy, usually a HABA block. Crocodile Chris is recommended for babies 12 months and older, so maybe he’ll catch on to the pushing aspect in a few more months. The crocodile’s head can swivel 360 degrees, which I thought was a fun touch. My one small disappointment with this toy is that the bell doesn’t make all that much noise. My son loves creating his own “music”, so a louder bell tinkling while he shakes and bangs away would have been nice. But aside from that, Crocodile Chris is a cheerful toy that I think most babies would love to get their hands (and mouths) on!
