Our Kubix 50 Geometrix Blocks offers a new fun way to build! Rather than standard cubes, each block is shaped like a T, H, W, L, and more. Creations with these blocks seem to defy gravity as the interlocking blocks expand building possibilities. Older kids may also enjoy the challenge of creating a flat square from the blocks. When play time comes to an end, all the blocks can be neatly stored in the box with a practical handle. Designed in France by Janod

Brilliant Building Blocks
A viewer from Santa Monica, CA, USA
Kubix 50 Geometrix Blocks come in a square cardboard box with a clear window to expose its content. As with most packaging the box is way too large for the 50 small blocks. Soon after opening the clear window became lose and rendered the package unusable for future storage. I wish there would have been a sturdy wooden box to neatly store the blocks.

The toy itself did not disappoint. The blocks are fascinating and touch many different subjects to teach young children. One day it’s all about colors, the next all about shapes, then all about numbers and the following all about letters. Together we built the whole alphabet and my boy was occupied for a whole afternoon. But it doesn’t end here. Later it’s all about buildings, houses, towers and even whole cities. And just when you think blocks are boring it’s all about robots. Or dinosaurs? Or maybe aliens? Only kids will know….

When I was a child I had wooden blocks much simpler than these. I built houses and castles, whole towns and landscapes and towers higher than myself. Looking back I am sure they were part of the reasons I later became an architect. I wonder what shapes and figures my children will invent with these unusual and unique blocks and how their play will influence their future career choices.

On the downside I do not trust the painted wood made in China to be free of harmful chemicals so I keep the toy away from my 6 months old baby. I do not want her to chew on any of painted wood pieces. It’s fine for my toddler to play with it and he enjoys building with the blocks.
