Janod Breakfast Set
Can anyone say breakfast in bed? This Janod Breakfast set is made of quality wood that is simply charming. Everything was carefully wrapped to make sure nothing was broken. It includes a cute tea pot, matching lid, two tea cups, two saucers, two tea spoons, one croissant, one roll, one butter tray with cover, one jam jar, one spreading knife, and one large tray. It comes with two brown handles and nails that need simple assembly to be attached to the large tray. The assembly was not hard and the only tool needed is a screwdriver. The large tray measures 11 by 9 inches, the perfect size for the youngest chefs. My daughter absolutely loves this toy. The second she saw it, she began busily pouring us pretend tea and buttering our bread and croissant. Janod’s age recommendation is 3 years or older, which I agree with. Both of the tea cups have screw heads poking out of the insides. The tea spoons are 3 inches long and the spreading knife is four, which could be a choking hazard. I think with supervision, young infants can play with the bigger pieces of this set like the tea pot, cups, and saucers. The tea pot with lid, tea cups, and spreading knife handle all have visible dried glued, but this is just a minor flaw. Overall my daughter is very happy playing with this beautiful set. The perks are that the set is all wooden, making it safer than plastic. It’s a very unique design, almost a vintage feel to it. The color design is gender neutral, so both my daughter and son can enjoy tea time. This pretend play set promotes open ended play, imagination, and early literary skills. It teaches children to work with others, share, and learn manners.
