 Janod Dolls Chunky Puzzle
What little girl doesn’t love dolls? The Janod Dolls Chunky Puzzle is a simple, yet beautiful addition to our puzzle collection. The pieces are made of wood and that signature smooth finish I have grown to love from other Janod products. None of the wooden pieces have a strange or unpleasant odor, which I often find with puzzles sold in the stores. It includes nine puzzle pieces and the puzzle base. On the far left, there is a red haired doll with a soft lime green dress, black and white stockings, and orange shoes. In the middle is a brunette doll wearing a white polka dot pink shirt under a pink coverall dress and dress shoes. Lastly, a blonde doll with pretty flowers in her hair, wearing a sky blue dress sprinkled with pink and white polka dots, belted with a pink bow. These puzzle pieces have just the right weight to make them easy to play with and stack, but not so heavy that the younger children are unable to play with ease. I love that it functions as a stacking toy because of the chunky shape of the pieces. The Doll Puzzle teaches children to match the outfit to the correct doll. You can fit each doll’s tops with the other dolls, but you cannot fit the doll’s heads and shoes in the other dolls. My daughter was very excited about this puzzle because the blonde doll looks like her so she immediately named it after herself. At 32 months of age, she was able to put the dolls with their correct outfit. She figured out that the pieces were all stackable, which she found interesting. My 10 month old was intrigued by the doll’s faces, but is too young to put the pieces in their correct spots.
