 Great looking puzzle!

These Janod puzzles are one of the most adorable wooden puzzles out there. The animals are super cute and vibrantly colored frolicking in a cheerful forest. My daughter loves the fox best. The puzzle overall is really well made and smooth. Underneath each puzzle piece it is colored to correspond to the animal, which helped my daughter initially with figuring out where an animal went and also learning her colors. After your child is outgrown the puzzle, you can also use the animals for open ended play since they stand up on their own. Then after they’ve outgrown that, you can use them as decoration because once again, they are so adorable.

 Janod Forest Chunky Puzzle
This charming Forest Chunky puzzle is designed in France for a reason. It is made from high quality wood, beautifully painted, and no unpleasant smells. Each of the seven puzzles have smooth edges so not to harm little hands. The pieces each fit into a corresponding, color-coded shape on the puzzle base. This quaint little puzzle is truly unique, including a gray rabbit, a frisky dark orange fox, a little yellow deer, a chipper green duck, a happy brown bear, a curious brown owl, and a fluffy orange squirrel. I love the warm, inviting landscape with it’s green meadows, plentiful of flowers, different insects, and two big trees, one on each side, and a couple wispy white clouds. These darling little animal pieces stand up on their own, allowing for hours of more open ended play and imagination. They do not stack, however, but children will still enjoy this multifunctional toy. I appreciate that the makers of this toy took the time to put a thin sheet of paper under each puzzle to avoid scratching the chunky pieces. It measures 11.8 inches long, which means it can fit easily on shelves, and in baskets and bags too. The pieces are not super small, but because of the age recommendation of 18 months and up, I would advise supervision with infants younger than that age. My 32 month old enjoyed taking apart the pieces and putting them back in their designated color-coded spots. My ten month old was more interested in holding the vibrant little animal pieces and clapping two of them together at a time, making a lovely wooden noise. Janod makes the most beautiful puzzles geared for toddlers. At 11.8 inches long, it is easily stored away in baskets and on shelves. I’m very pleased with this puzzle.
