Another 'beary' cool toy by Plan Toys! Our Bear Stacker promotes fine motor skills and shape recognition as toddler stacks alternating rings and shapes to complete the bear. The colorful rings have grooves on each side to match one natural wood shape. The bear can be stacked without the intermediary natural wood shapes for a less complex experience or with the shapes as he develops the necessary skills to complete the task!

Sweet bear in pleasing tones
A viewer from Sugar Land, TX
I thought of my daughter as soon as I saw this bear. She is almost 2 and loves stacking things. The bear is colorful, yet not garish, with that pleasing, recognizable shape that she immediately recognized.

The bear head, feet, and colored rings are made out of some sort of wood composite. The block shapes that stack between the rings are solid wood. The shapes and rings create a puzzle that is probably most appropriate for a 4-6 year old, wherein you can match each layer to the succeeding, matching shape. My toddler isn't nearly ready for that level of matching and stacking, but could still play with the blocks and stack the "rings."

The downside of this type of toy, of course, is all the pieces! Toddlers in that "love to throw" stage may make it difficult to put the whole bear back together. But he is one very cute bear that seems quite sturdy, so ready for the toddler toss phase of life. He will also be an engaging puzzle for years to come.
