I did a lot of research before I decided on this dollhouse. I love the fact that it is gender neutral. So many of the dollhouses are geared toward girls. I also love the fact that it has two sections, so both my daughter and son can enjoy it at the same time. The design of the house and the furniture is so detailed and fresh. I love the modern look and feel all the pieces are of the highest quality. I did end up putting the dollhouse on a table with two stools, and that helped with access to the different rooms and not having to "duck down." I do agree it is tedious to put together. It took me about 45 minutes, but well worth it in the end. I also love the fact that there are so many accessories that go with this house and we keep adding to it, which helps expand my kids' play. After having this for a year, I still can't find a better dollhouse out there. Highly recommend it!

We received this as a Christmas present when our daughter was 2. She is 4 now, and has played with this house almost every day. I do agree with the previous review that the bottom floor is a bit dark (we've considered building a stand/basement to set the house on), but it has not hampered her play. I love that you can rearrange the 2 pieces to make different houses. We are constantly changing rooms and layouts. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a sturdy first doll house. I hope we continue to play with it for several more years.

I got this for my daughter's 4th birthday. It was an upgrade from our plastic dollhouse. She enjoys playing with it, but I've noticed a few things that make me think there are better dollhouses out there. The main thing is that it seems dark in there because it's not a very open floor plan. You also have to duck down and reach to play with it (kids not as much as adults, but I've seen her having to duck and reach around walls/doorways). It was also quite difficult to put together as the instructions were just pictures with several things put together in each step and not terribly clear, so I found that I had to loosen screws to put in another piece several times. The ability to change the arrangement of the pieces is a plus, and it is very nice looking, but it doesn't seem quite as sturdy as our other Plan toys. Overall, not bad, but not great either.
