This is something I wish we would have had for my 1st child when she was just starting to walk! It is definitely a toy that is durable, sturdy, and can withstand the test of kids over time. When pushed, the wooden balls inside the toy hit on the wooden panels and it is a pretty loud knocking sound. However, it isn't loud and annoying like many toys are these days. My son is *just* starting to walk (10 months) and he mostly sits on the ground and pushes this all around the house while scooting behind it. He also stands and pushes it. My 2 1/2 year old daughter likes to pretend it is a vacuum. I like that it can be used in a broad age range and I LOVE that it encourages imaginative play. The one thing that I did not like was that it said that the roller could be used for not-yet-walking kids...but, it was so hard to take out, I haven't done it since the first time I tried. Other than that, we really enjoy watching both kids use it and will love that we get to see them use it for a long time!
