The front of the calendar kit drops down to reveal a village landscape for Christmas morning. Starting on the first Sunday of Advent, children open one door each day to welcome a new surprise character!
The kit includes 54 pieces which assemble into 24 freestanding characters: trees, presents, animals and more.
Advent calendars date back to 19th-century Germany, when Lutherans printed elaborate liturgical reminders, with compartments for each day containing a verse or poem.
