The summer is an exciting and fun time to play outside! Learning how to ride a bike is one of those unforgettable moments for both boys and girls, and their Dads and Moms, forming a bond between parent and child. The parent, at first holding onto their child to protect them from a fall. As the parent slowly lets go, the rider is able to see and feel they can do this on their own! A proud feeling for parent, and an independent and freeing moment for the child!
Balance bikes are a wonderful tool. They can:
- Make the moment of letting go easier (for parent and child). Using a balance bikes allows the child to master the skill of balancing before he or she has to learn and master peddling.
- Make learning to balance on a bike without the fear of falling, helping them feel more secure
- Allow the child to feel like a "Big Kid!"
